Our reading from Chapter 7 of the Revelation to John reminds us that we are still in Eastertide and we have been given the victory and the promise of eternal life. We often read this passage from Revelation at funerals because it reminds us that the Good Shepherd will lead us to the springs of the water of life and will wipe away every tear from our eyes. This vision of John is so wonderful as it reminds us that nothing, not even death, can separate us from the love of God in Christ, the Good Shepherd.
