October 3, 2010 by the Rector

Today the Rector preaches on Psalm 137 in light of the recent surge in bullyingof those who are different from us. Using the tragic case of Tyler Clementi and others, she says we must have zero tolerance for bullying and the Church must be the place that is safe for kids. Remembering our Baptismal Covenant, we must change the world. Specific examples that could be identified are ommitted in this print copy. She begins the sermon with the wonderful plaintive chant from the 1970’s musical Godspell, “On the willows there we hung up our lyres.”
