Stewardship
Mr. Webster’s dictionary defines stewardship as the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care. At Christ Church we take seriously our responsibility to care for everything entrusted to us.
This begins with our families, our time, our individual gifts, God’s creation, and our finances.
Throughout scripture we are taught that we are called to care for all of God’s creation.
This not only means the beauty of our earth, but all that is in it. Just as we find that we are called to care for each other as being created in God’s image, so we are called to manage our time.
Each day is a gift from God, and we are called to make good use of the gifts and abilities that God has blessed us with for the good of all His creation.
We are also called to be stewards of the financial assets that we are blessed with.
No matter how or what we may each give to our families, our church, or our neighbors, it should all be a part of God’s call to each of us to care for all of His creation.
